Fertilization by Drone

Foliar fertilization, micronutrients, liquid lime and biostimulants — pinpoint instead of blanket, site-specific based on real crop data.

What is it about?

The principle

Instead of fertilizing the entire field uniformly, our technology works exactly where it is needed. Based on multispectral analysis and an application map, the agricultural drone applies fertilizer site-specifically and at variable rates (variable rate application) — pinpoint accurate, low-drift, soil-friendly and without a single wheel track. Whether liquid fertilizer, foliar fertilization in a tall crop or micronutrients: fertilization from the air opens up time windows in which ground-based machinery has long had to sit out.

The challenge

Why traditional methods hit their limits

Yield loss from wheel tracks

2–10 % of the field area is lost to tramlines.

Over-fertilization

Blanket application without a needs analysis burdens groundwater and your budget.

Soil compaction

Heavy tractors cause lasting damage to soil structure.

How it works

Our approach

Needs assessment

The multispectral drone captures the nutrient requirements of your crop.

Application map

Vegetation indices are turned into a precise prescription map.

Variable rate application

The agricultural drone doses variably — every zone gets exactly what it needs.

Your benefits

What's in it for you

Service area: Lake Constance region, Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Southern Germany and Switzerland — further afield on request. Flight planning, airspace clearances and application documentation are handled by our certified drone pilots.

Frequently booked

What we fertilize and apply by drone

Foliar fertilization

Liquid fertilizer for cereals, maize, oilseed rape, beets and potatoes — including late final treatments in a tall crop.

Micronutrients & trace elements

Manganese, boron, zinc, copper, magnesium or sulfur — targeted against nutrient deficiencies.

Liming by drone

Liquid lime on arable land and grassland — on request also in difficult terrain.

Biostimulants & plant strengtheners

Amino acids, seaweed extract, humic acids, effective microorganisms and compost tea — for vigor and less drought and heat stress.

Agricultural drone spreading granules — visible spread cone
Granules & spreader

Spread, not just sprayed

With the spreader unit, our Agras also applies granules: mineral fertilizer, granulated lime or seed — precisely dosed right up to your field boundary. The spread cone in the picture is no montage; this is what a real job looks like.
